NTC Indexing and Teacher Licensure Exam (GTLE) Registration Process – 2025

 Indexing for New Teacher Candidates


Before new candidates can register for the Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination (GTLE), they must first complete the indexing process.


Steps to Complete Indexing:


1. Confirm Your Data Upload

Visit https://indexing.ntc.gov.gh to check if your training college or university has submitted your details to the NTC system.



2. Make Payment for Indexing

Pay a GHC50 fee through mobile money by dialing *772*51#, or make the payment at any Prudential Bank branch.



3. Receive Your Indexing Number

Once payment is successful, you’ll receive a text message with your unique indexing number and further steps.



4. Log In to Confirm Your Information

Use your indexing number to sign in at https://indexing.ntc.gov.gh and verify that all personal details are correct.



5. Use Your Indexing Number for Exam Registration

Keep your indexing number safe, as it’s essential for registering for the GTLE.

After completing indexing, you can move forward with registering for the licensure exam.


Steps to Register for GTLE:


1. Purchase an E-Voucher


Buy using mobile money: *772*51#


Or visit a Prudential Bank branch to get your Serial Number and PIN.




2. Access the Registration Portal

Go to https://exams.ntc.gov.gh



3. Enter E-Voucher Details

Input the Serial Number and PIN from your voucher.



4. Provide Your Information

Fill out the form with your personal data, academic background, and your indexing number.



5. Upload a Passport Photo

Upload a recent photo with a white background, not exceeding 250KB in size.



6. Review and Submit

Carefully double-check all information—once submitted, no corrections can be made.



7. Print Confirmation Page

Save or print your registration summary for future reference.

Examination Dates: July 18–20, 2025


GTLE Exam Components


1. Professional Knowledge

Assesses basic numeracy, literacy, and core teaching competencies.



2. Specialism Pedagogy

Tailored to the candidate’s area of training—such as Early Grade, Primary, JHS, SHS, or TVET.



3. Subject Knowledge


Early Grade/Primary: Covers multiple subject areas.


JHS, SHS, TVET: Focuses on one main subject.



Additional Guidelines


Use a different phone number for each e-voucher purchase to avoid system errors.


Dress appropriately in formal or professional clothing on exam day.


No refunds will be issued for candidates who are not eligible.
