Applying for Permanent Residence Through the Pilots
You may qualify to apply for permanent residence under these programs if you have:
A full-time job offer in home care
Relevant work experience or training
The necessary language proficiency and educational qualifications

These programs provide a pathway to permanent residence for skilled individuals interested in working in home child care or home support in Canada. There are two pilot programs:
1. Home Care Worker Immigration Pilot – Child Care
2. Home Care Worker Immigration Pilot – Home Support
Each pilot offers two application options:
Currently, applications are only being accepted for the Workers in Canada stream. The stream for applicants outside Canada will be available later.
You can use the Permanent Residence (PR) Portal to:
Apply for most PR programs
Request PR cards and travel documents
If your application is approved, you can confirm your permanent resident status and receive your PR card through the portal.
