Academic Calendar (UCC-Affiliated Colleges of Education, 2024–2025)


I. Preparation and Registration Periods


Nov. 11–14, 2024:

Level 400 B.Ed. students (2021 cohort) arrive on campus for an orientation session focused on Macro Teaching.


Nov. 15, 2024:

These Level 400 students begin their Macro Teaching practice at assigned schools.


Dec. 20, 2024 – Jan. 12, 2025:

Registration opens for Level 400 B.Ed. students for their First Semester courses.


Dec. 21, 2024 – Jan. 11, 2025:

The Fifth UCC Board convenes to evaluate and approve Second Semester results for Levels 200 and 300.



II. Publication and Sandwich Session


Jan. 27 – Apr. 20, 2025:

Release of examination results for Level 200 and 300 students.


Jan. 27 – Feb. 7, 2025:

A sandwich session is conducted during this period.

III. Commencement of Semester for Levels 100–300


Feb. 11, 2025:

Levels 100, 200, and 300 B.Ed. students resume campus for a 12-week First Semester.


Feb. 17–21, 2025:

Students in Levels 100 to 300 register for First Semester courses.


IV. Academic Workshops and Monitoring


March 10–15, 2025:

A test item development workshop is organized to support the semester’s curriculum.


March 31, 2025:

Teaching and learning activities, along with college-based quizzes for Levels 100–300, are monitored.


V. Assessments and Examinations (First Semester)


April 6–17, 2025:

Mid-Semester Quizzes are administered to Levels 100, 200, and 300.


April 18, 2025:

Final date for students to pay First Semester examination fees.


April 18 – May 5, 2025:

First Semester examinations are held for Levels 100, 200, and 300.


April 21–29, 2025:

Students at Levels 100–300 begin a short recess.


April 29 – May 7, 2025:

Another sandwich period takes place.



VI. Script Marking and Results Processing


May 7–15, 2025:

Residential marking of Level 100 examination scripts.


May 22–23, 2025:

Residential marking continues for Levels 200 and 300 scripts.


May 25 – Aug. 30, 2025:

The First UCC Board meeting reviews First Semester results of Levels 100–300.


May 25 – June 6, 2025:

Examination results for Levels 100–300 are published.



VII. Second Semester Activities


June 16, 2025:

All B.Ed. students (Levels 100–400) return to campus for the Second Semester.


June 20–28, 2025:

Registration for Second Semester courses takes place for Levels 100–300.


June 29 – July 6, 2025:

Teaching activities and quizzes monitored for Levels 200 and 300.



VIII. Mid-Semester Assessments (Second Semester)


July 14–19, 2025:

Mid-Semester quizzes conducted for Levels 100 and 400.


July 21–26, 2025:

Mid-Semester quizzes held for Levels 200 and 300.


July 24 – Sept. 2025:

Another sandwich session is held.


July 30, 2025:

Final date for Second Semester examination fee payment.



IX. End-of-Semester Exams and Marking


Aug. 16–22, 2025:

Second Semester exams for Levels 100 and 400.


Aug. 23–31, 2025:

Second Semester exams for Levels 200 and 300.


Sept. 1–11, 2025:

Marking of Level 100 and 400 exam scripts.


Sept. 12–23, 2025:

Marking continues for Level 200 and 300 scripts.

Sept. 29 – Oct. 8, 2025:

Oct. 9, 2025:

Third UCC Board meeting held to consider Level 200 and 300 Second Semester results.


Oct. 10–17, 2025:

Resit papers for Levels 100 and 400 are marked.


Oct. 20, 2025:

Resit results for Level 100 and 400 are published.
