Before embarking on his radical body modification journey, Anthony Loffredo worked as a security guard at a nightclub. Born in France, he moved to Australia at 24 and currently resides in Guadalajara, Mexico. Loffredo is multilingual, speaking French, Spanish, and English.
To support himself, Loffredo works as a photography and video model, collaborates with brands, and is a skilled tattoo artist. However, it's his body modification project, "The Black Alien Project," that has garnered significant attention.
Loffredo's transformation began at 26 with a tongue-splitting procedure. He views his body as a canvas, using it as a medium for artistic expression. Rather than considering his modifications as mutilation, Loffredo sees them as a personal evolution and aesthetic improvement. In his own words, modifying his body has "made him feel better about himself."
A documentary about Loffredo's journey, "I Transformed Myself Into An Alien," was released in June 2023 on Channel 4 digital, offering a glimpse into the life of this extraordinary individual. Through his project, Loffredo challenges traditional notions of beauty and identity, sparking conversations about self-expression and body autonomy.

Despite documenting his transformation on Instagram, Loffredo admits that he's faced significant backlash, including difficulty finding employment. In a recent podcast appearance, he shared, "This type of change, it's not just a tattoo, it's something bigger... With my family, I can't find a job, there's lots of negative stuff."

Loffredo emphasizes that his transformation is not just about aesthetics but also about self-expression and feeling more confident. However, he acknowledges that it's a daily struggle to deal with people's reactions, ranging from fear to judgment.
To cope with the negative attention, Loffredo makes a conscious effort to be considerate of others, especially children and the elderly. He wants to be seen as a "normal" person, despite his unconventional appearance. "I'm a normal guy, I work, I have a family," he stresses. "I like being looked at like a normal guy with a job, with a family, who has a friend, girlfriend, all of that. That's what makes me normal."
